DUCKS UNLIMITED AND BUDWEISER PRESENT MUSIC EXPO AT WOLF PEN CREEK AMPHITHEATRE

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, March 24, 2009 - Country music star Clay Walker, classic rock band Bad Company, Kevin Fowler, Band of Heathens and other musicians and performers will highlight the 4th Annual Budweiser Duck Jam in Aggieland, Saturday, April 25 at Wolf Pen Creek amphitheater in College Station, Texas. The event is hosted by Ducks Unlimited.
Ticket prices are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show. Prices include a membership to DU and all proceeds from the show benefit DU?s habitat conservation efforts.
"The event is expanding and will take on more of an expo feel with additional areas of entertainment," says Cody Roberts, DU regional director. "Also new to this year's event will be a Cajun Jam crawfish boil and a barbecue competition certain to add excitement to the event."
The Dock Dogs Big Air Series will host more than 400 dogs in an exciting jumping competition. Live music, with Dr. Zog and his Zydeco Band, the Budweiser Draft House and pub-style seating will all be found under this tent. A third stage will host the Lil' Quack Kid Zone and feature Grammy award winning act, "Trout Fishing in America." Hands-on crafts, games and youth concession sales benefiting the Brazos Valley Children?s Museum will be available.
"We want to provide an all-age atmosphere for the event and have created a music line-up to better accommodate a broader range of genres," says Roberts. "By including classic rock, country, and what Kevin Fowler calls "his" music, we hope the event will appeal to more people."
Gates open at 9:00 a.m., rain or shine, with the Dock Dogs competition kicking off the festival. For more information on the event, including on-line ticket purchases, visit www.budweiserduckjam.com.
With more than a million supporters, Ducks Unlimited is the world's largest and most effective wetland and waterfowl conservation organization with more than 12 million acres conserved. The United States alone has lost more than half of its original wetlands − nature's most productive ecosystem − and continues to lose more than 80,000 acres of wetlands important to waterfowl each year.
